The property began its colourful history in 1884 as The Eastern. The Oriental was added in 1885 due to the Easterns overwhelming popularity and the hotels combined to become the Eastern & Oriental Hotel. There are no rooms at the Eastern & Oriental, only suites. Ninety nine to be precise. A hotel of old, colonial charm with the finest traditions of comfort and service. Personalized attentive service standards are the hallmark of the E&O Hotel. Butler Service The hotels round-the-clock impeccable butler service guarantees that guests personal needs and comfort are a constant focus from the moment they arrive. There was nothing I did not like.

Hotel with friendly knowledgeable staff - everything you could ever dream of in 1 location. I cannot recommend this hotel too highly - it will surpass your needs
