Very historic, nice locational.
Nothing!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Staying here was the icing on the cake to our lovely weekend away. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Portland.

Friendly staff.
Certainly not 3.5 stars... more like 2.

Certainly not 3.5 stars... more like 2. It was old and refurbished, the carpet crunched when you walked on it. Great location, but not romantic and historical as advertised.

For early check-in our booked room wasn't yet ready so they upgraded us to a huge suite.
Don't provide shuttle service to/from airport.

We arrived early in afternoon. Were told that shuttle service was not available from the airport but they said a cab would be inexpensive - $8 or $9. (Actually the cab was closer to $20 with tip). Our booked room wasn't yet ready so they immediately offered us a suite instead, which was huge and very nice. This hotel is older but well maintained and had a degree of "charm". Top floor bar/lounge gave beautiful view of city. Shuttle driver very accommodating about getting us to CAT ferry terminal early in morning even though it was a bit earlier than their normal shuttle hours. read more

roof top lounge/restaurant is very unique to the portland area. Roof top lounge/restaurant is very unique to the Portland area.
Not knowing that there was parking fee until after the Priceline transaction was completed.

Hotel wait staff was less than warm/friendly in the lobby lounge and main restaurant, room was attractive and clean.

Don't miss the lounge on the top floor of the hotel. Great view and good appetizers.

I was a little worried when I booked this hotel--we got a great price on priceline, but the reviews were not good. However, my husband and I found this to be a great night's respite in our travels. Great view from the top floor lounge (and good food), friendly staff, clean room with a comfortable bed. Our room had floor to ceiling windows which held a great view to the street below. The hallways are a bit worn, but tolerable. We didn't eat in their restaurant, but the menu looked good. There's a Thai restaurant down the street, and best of all the Portland Museum of Art is only a block away. We'd stay there again! read more
