The price.
We landed in a smoking room. (we are non smokers) Has that smoker smell about it. Too late to change.
We needed an over night stay in the area. Priceline gave a great price. This motel is a moderate one so we weren't really expecting much. The rooms were done over recently and were clean and nice. The young girl at the desk was very sweet. In the morning there was even a light breakfast buffet with bagels, donuts, cereal and coffee.

Good location.
Dirty and smelled bad.
Good prices, great location in Harrisonburg but the rooms smelled awful and were really dirty.

The layout and amenities of the room; well-apportioned for a motel room.
Room's front door wasn't well insulated, which was a problem on below freezing nights.
Of the three motels I have visited in Harrisonburg, the Econo Lodge, is the nicest room of the three. Considering that the Econo Lodge is on the lower end of possible overnight accommodations, the rooms were decent. They had a coffee table where I could work, a mini-fridge to store drinks and snacks, and a microwave. That being said, I had a pretty comfortable weekend. It's not the nicest hotel I've stayed. read more

It was much better than expected for a 1-star. The view isn't great but I was very pleased.
The view and the heat was off when we got there so it was freezing.
The room (king size suite) was much bigger than expected. Much better than we thought it would be. Good for business travel or leisure. When we got there the lady that checked us in was okay, but then disappeared when we needed something, a young man (recent hire) was very helpful and brought us stuff to our room even though he was busy.

Nothing!
Room was dirty, linen off white, bath tub dirty, bed leaned and slanted, old out of date.
Terrible. Would not recommend to anyone!

The staff and easy to find location.
The exterior walls and stairs.
It is a one star that is what I expected and what I got. It was a good place for one night.
