Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Hard to get to from eastbound, had to turn around and backtrack to enter hotel. Room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, hotel very dirty and grungy. We were exhausted and needed sleep so we stayed.

Hotel was nicely located on a major highway. Room was clean and workers were friendly enough. Was upset that there wasn't enough of soap or shampoo because I hadn't brought mine.

Room was clean and in good condition. The bedding seemed a bit used and the pillows were uncomfortable/flat. The hotel overall was in need of attention - peeling wallpaper, worn carpet, etc. Continental breakfast was not monitored and food ran out.

I would not recommend this hotel, it is in dire need of refurbishment, my room leaked, the bed and floor was soaked. I felt very dirty staying there!

This isn't a typical stay: The night we arrived, my disabled husband misjudged distance and fell in our room. He fractured 4 ribs in 5 places, which triggered other health problems, so he is actually still in a dc hospital (we live in Ohio) nearly a week later. Stressful situation, but the staff, including the loss prevention manager, the concierge and all the desk people more than rose to the occasion. They tended to my kids in the lobby, gave them free sundaes, while the paramedics got him up. By the time my husband was loaded in the ambulance, they had internet directions printed for me to the hospital. They were more than generous in accommodating me in my extended stay, more than kind when dealing with my less than typical comings and goings, more than compassionate in my stress. I had assured them that we weren't litigious and knew they weren't responsible for the accident. Had they asked me, I would have signed a waiver. They never did, and were not interested in my assurances - they were interested in my situation, not in the potential harm to them if I was that sort of person. I'm generally more comfortable in less fancy hotels, but this 4 star one has a place in my heart. Turns out there are real people behind those perfectly refined manners and polished appearances. Also, the new renovations are nice. Internet access is important to me, and they went to great lengths to help me make it work. The rooms are done in bold colors, but a dominant color is orange. Unfortunate choice, but they really are very nice, very clean, and the bed is very comfortable, I should have such a nice bed at home! For touring, lots of things are in walking distance. Maybe 2 miles from the white house & mall? Tourist shopping right ups the street on M. Shuttle service to the touring trolley. We would have really had a great time there. ...
