It was located in an area that was assessable to a lot. It had a restaurant where the food was great, close to a hospital and Downtown Sumter.
It was a wonderful place to stay. I was located near Downtown and was peaceful. The hotel staff was really nice and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room was recently renovated and very clean.
Lobby area and bar/restaurant was tired and shabby.
The Ramada Inn in Sumter offered me a great value as the price was much lower. It is situated within walking distance of the historical Downtown area and surrounded by beautiful old homes. Although the motel looked a bit outdated on the exterior, the room was spacious and recently renovated. It smelled fresh and clean and had all the amenities including a coffee pot, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and refrigerator. The only criticism I have is that the bar smelled strongly of stale smoke and the lobby area and restaurant looked a little shabby. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk even printed out a MapQuest map for me to drive to my next destination as they didn't have maps available to give out. read more

The room was clean/food was fine.
Hotel needs to be up-dated.
The hotel has an older, outdated appearance. The room was clean. The staff was fine; the breakfast was fine.

Breakfast was excellent. It was complimentary, but I would have gladly paid the $7. Coffee was awful, but again, free.
Hotel was old and very run down (but clean), and in a very sketchy area; would not stay alone as a woman.
Hotel met my expectations as a two star hotel. The free, hot unlimited breakfast buffet including make-your-own Belgian waffles was a very pleasant surprise. I really only wanted clean sheets and a clean bathroom, which it has. Also, the microwave and fridge was a big bonus. Excellent value for the price. I'd highly recommend if your looking for a no-frills, clean, cheap place to stay. read more

It was great! We arrived about 2 am and had no problems. The room was perfect and the people at the front desk was wonderful.
The pool was beautiful, the staff was wonderful. Very peaceful. So peaceful we over slept and missed breakfast! We have never stayed anywhere before and had such a wonderful experience!

Clean hotel, nice area, friendly service.
Liked everything.
I felt safe at this Ramanda Inn. I must say I usually say with the Holiday Inn chains. After I arrived, the clerk was friendly and accommodating and the room was nice and clean.

The only thing I liked was that I will not have to be back.
Everything.
Phone did not work...finally moved to another room filthy! Empty condom package on floor beside bed. Other debris including an extinguished cigarette in a non-smoking room. There is no star rating for this place.

Nice swimming pool area and palm trees.
Felt unsafe and dark at night.
Needs to be lit up better at night. It is a good idea to provide a security guard to patrol it.

The staff was excellent.
It is old and had some maintenance issues (minor).
The staff was great. The contracted dinning facility should be commended. The hotel is aged and had some minor issues i.e. Toilet handle had to be jiggled, shower/tub fixtures needed adjustments or replaced, refrigerator needed defrosting and we saw one roach in the room which was his/her last day.

Upgraded rooms. Nice furnishings for a very old property.
Highly recommend for guests looking for overnight stay near the Sumter hospital, good food available on-site, friendly staff.
