Lobby bathroom was dirty and smelled.

Rooms were good. Nice beds, view was great. Bathrooms were small.

The room was very nice and clean.
No covered parking.

We were pleasantly surprised with the room quality. It was very roomy and clean. They included a refrigerator, stove, microwave, hair dryer, and iron for convenience. The lobby and outside appearance did not reflect the room condition at all. The breakfast didn't have much of a selection, but it was free.

The view is extraordinary.
There was nothing
I did not like.

I am a resident of the Dayton area. This is my hotel of choice for my stay cations. I have been there 4 times this year and will go again before the end of the year. The rates are good, the staff is nice and helpful and friendly, nice continental breakfast, nice rooms with fridge and microwave and an extraordinary view of the most famous and beautiful beach in the world. When I win the lottery I plan on moving into the El Caribe. I could live very well in one of their efficiencies on the ocean front. read more

Beautiful view, clean room, new bathtub/tile and an
excellent staff.
No visible bathroom by pool, and there was no dining on site.

I had read reviews on the hotel before going - all negatives like the breakfast - were taken care of. Breakfast now includes toast, bagels, cereal, fruit and donuts. Staff was very helpful. Although it is an older hotel, the rooms were nice, the kitchen was great and the view was fantastic. I am already planning on going back.

pool was great, room was nice, staff was friendly
toilet overflowed, maintenance plunged it but did not make it usable, had to ask for housekeeping

Very nice, room was small but totally adequate, kitchen had everything we needed, view from balcony was beautiful, pools were awesome - regular pool, heated pool & kiddie pool, staff was very friendly and accomodating, overall we had a wonderful time
