Convenient location, close to downtown.
Poor breakfast, at inconvenient time.
Good enough for the price paid. Easy to find, good parking. Staff were friendly enough. Some friends, in another room, had a shower problem, which was fixed quickly. Room was clean, warm, comfortable enough. Breakfast was the weak point - lack of choice, poor. Would have liked to see a kettle and tea/coffee in the room.

The rooms were thoughtfully outfitted with irons and ironing boards. Clocks were set correctly and room was recently remodeled.
Restroom had a slight odor. Noise at night was unacceptable (parking lot).
Overall, this hotel is clean and a good value for the money. The staff is friendly and accomodating. There's an adult theater on the same block, 2 door down, so I'm not sure about family friendliness. There was lots of noise from an apparent party in the parking lot (loud music and loud talking/laughing until after midnight). I called the manager to complain and the noise continued for another 20 minutes. The rooms are newly remodeled and thoughtfully outfitted, with one exception -- shower/bath area. The restroom had a strange odor, possibly mold or something. The best I could figure out was that the bathtub was old and scratched up and that mildew may have been growing in the cracks. I sprayed it with my own Lysol and that solved the problem. The shower heads spray in every direction and there is no way to use the bathtub for a bath, the stopper doesn't work. Overall, however, it was functional. read more

Very affordable, convenient location, clean room.
Thin walls made for loud footsteps and voices heard from other rooms.
This hotel was pretty much what I imagined. It was small but clean. Free wireless Internet in room was surprising. The location was just minutes from downtown, Cannery Row, the Wharf, and all other places to see. It was only about 15 minutes from Laguna Seca Racetrack. The bed was comfortable, TV got many channels, the fridge and microwave was a great commodity, and the personnel was friendly. My only complaint was the noise coming from one particular room next to mine. The walls were too thin so I could here the kids yelling and the floors rattling when they were stomping around. Not too big of a deal, though. read more

I really enjoyed the convenience of this hotel. It was located right off Del Monte which is a main street in Monterey.
The rooms weren't as clean as I would have hoped.
This hotel is located in a convenient location. It is close to sea-side and Carmel but in a really good location in Monterey. My boyfriend and I came to Monterey as a last minute getaway and the room suited our needs. Easy check in/out. The free breakfast was really good also (because they had hot waffles - Yum!). Overall the hotel was nicer than I would imagine a traditional motel, I would stay there again. read more

Staff very friendly. Very close to highway and downtown.
Room looked old and dingy. Water damage and peeling paint on ceiling.
Overall, it was an acceptable experience. Room seemed clean and didn't have strange odors. Appreciated that they offered free high-speed internet. Staff was very quick to respond to an issue of a non-functional microwave by replacing it. The bed was springy and not terribly comfortable to sleep on. The water out of the tap tasted clean and was good to drink.
