Always good value for the money.
Embassy Suites is one of our favorites, with and without the children. They are almost always conveniently located and offer plenty of room for work or leisure.

Location - across from train & metro.
Pool closed for renovations.
If you want to visit DC without all the hassle, take Amtrak to Alexandria and the Metro everywhere else. They're both just across the street from this hotel. The breakfast is great and the manager at reception is too. We had a great view if the G. Washington museum.

breakfast and happy hour
room facing atrium can be noisy
This is a great location: close to metro and whole foods. Great breakfast and happy hour. Suites are roomy, although lighting could be higher.

Proximity to public transport, government offices.
Too many children, food offering was limited, mediocre at best.
Reasonable hotel, rooms nicer than public area. Large number of families with children (tourist most likely). Breakfast was disappointing; omelets made to order but mostly mediocre continental style offerings. Price was not great, but very convenient to mass transit and govt offices I had business at. Wouldn't allow a late checkout after 2 without paying another day's rate.

My kids enjoyed hour pool and gym. 2 TV's sitting room.
Me and husband felt that the mattress's were little soft.
I liked the convenience of the Metro right across the street, even though we were on the blue line when the crash happened. We still come down and Doti again.
The Restaurant were fantastic in the hotel and Joe Theisman Place. A enjoyable stay.

Breakfast option good; wait staff excellent.
A spa that was out of order the entire time we were there.
Rooms were clean, staff was good to excellent, the location on the Washington Metro line was just what we needed. It seemed ridiculous that a broken jacuzzi couldn't have been fixed in a few days. Also, noise from the elevators created a vibration and noise in the room we were in that was unpleasant.

Cleanliness, location, staff, breakfast and manager's reception.
Great place to stay when visiting the Washington area. The location by the metro is terrific and the new free trolley adds to the great location. The renovated public areas are attractive.
