Location.
It is old. Room is small and TV was old.

I have stayed at the Westin, Hotel Contessa, Grand Hyatt. This one was old and the
TV in the rooms look like there from 1980s.

The staff was very friendly and professional.
The beds were uncomfortable and bathroom was out dated and dingy. Would not even think about taking a bath.

I definitely would not classify this hotel as a 4 star. Rooms are too outdated and beds are not comfortable.

Location.
Mediocre view from my room.

Top quality hotel in a gorgeous historic building. Large staff ready to help. Library was much more living than the usual business center. Room service breakfast menu seemed more reasonably priced than I expected.

Good location, friendly service. Beds clean.
Towels smelled musty. Problems with AC & electrical circuits.

Overall friendly staff and accommodating. Although had to change rooms 4 times in 4 days and did not receive any additional discounts for inconvenience. One room even had bad leak from ceiling, causing us to pack up again and change rooms again.

Lobby.
Bathrooms are old and rooms need updating.

The hotel is OK. The bathrooms need major updating! The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom probably dates back to the 80's. The hot tub outside was out of order and will be until the beginning of 2010, which was a disappointment. The fitness center is very dated. Luckily there are plenty of places to run/walk outside.

Staff was very friendly.
Bathroom was dirty and it was haunted.

Hotel is in a great location. It's directly across the street from the Alamo and a block away from the River Walk. Staff was more friendly than any other hotel I've been to. The only thing I didn't like was the creepy feeling in the hallways, rooms, and elevators. The shower was old and dirty as well. Great hotel though!
