The bed was like a brick. It was too far to be considered Union Square.
This hotel was old and the bed was so hard I contemplated sleeping on the floor!

I liked the wine and the free wine tasting.
Room was hot and stuffy in the late fall.
This hotel is a good place to stay if you want to be in between Chinatown, Little Italy and Union Square. Difficult to get a cab because of the location. You need to walk one block in either direction to get one, or have the front desk call one for you. Not for families and folks concerned with adult stores nearby. I'd stay here again because I like the location.

Quaint, great staff, very friendly and helpful.
A little noisy but too be expected in SF, bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.
The hotel was very quaint. The staff is most friendly, courteous and helpful staff I have seen anywhere. Nice coffee bar and pastries in the morning, wine tasting in the evening. We could definitely spend more time in this hotel.

Price range, good for location and clean.
I am very sensitive to smells. Seemed to be musty or older smell in some areas particularly elevators.
Great location, rooms were clean and could hear the cable car which gave the hotel great character for San Francisco.

Nothing-it smelled everywhere. Especially in the room and elevator.
Smelled awful!! Had window air unit that did not work well. Small bathroom.
The room smelled so bad that my trunk that had all of our stuff from the trip in it (afterwards) smelled like it for a few days afterwards. The hotel guy that we talked to about the smell just said that it was a normal thing for old buildings to smell that way.
