Extended Stay America St. Petersburg - Clearwater

Get what you paid for, day manager was surly.

Carpet in common areas were filthy and smelled. Bedspread was not clean and had some sort of dried white crusty substance. Called front desk to let them know, and attendant asked if I could come down stairs and pickup a clean bedspread, I explained that I could not. I was brought a king bedspread to fit my queen sized bed, and told that this was all she could find. Hotel did not have a pool. I tried to request a king size bed, but a king size bed would cost an additional $20.00! Needless to say, I kept the queen sized bed. Room did come with kitchenette, with ice cube tray in freezer, I was not comfortable with using ice cubes that may have been left by other guest (I didn't know what could have been put in them). The hotel was cute, clean and nice. The smell knocks you off your rocker. I don't smoke and it made me ill. I liked the hotel otherwise but just walking down the halls and into the room you have to hold your breath.

The hotel was fine, the staff was great, it was spring break, so the carpet was dirty, but they were cleaning.

The hallways had the smell of smoke. My room though it was a non-smoking room smelled like smoke.

Is a good hotel. If it would just provide a bit more service than I would had been happy with it.

Horrible bed, room didn't feel clean, nothing to do at hotel (pool, breakfast, computer center etc) they did not even offer wake up calls. The TV was small.
