Can't say that I really liked anything about the hotel.
Room was dingy and just didn't feel clean.
The first room that I was issued was not clean. The bed was not made, the trashcan was full of trash, and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. When I approached the front desk clerk about the situation, she gave me attitude. I was issued another room, but the room was still dingy and smelly. This was not a pleasant stay and I would not recommend this hotel.

Clean, looked new.
Lamp bulb missing, but staff did not fulfill promise to fix it.
Company tries hard to make Extended Stay hotels win customers over, unfortunately in some locations (Braeswood in Houston as an example) they have poor quality staff that act/sound like being burdened by customer request for service (example: lamp was missing bulb but none was done about it).

Very clean, quite & comfortable.
Nothing I can think of.
I think their could have been a little more offered for breakfast.

Near the medical center.
The outside of the hotel looks nice enough.

Very convenient to M D Anderson, convenient shuttle or can walk to it.
Someone left their dog unattended and it barked for hours.
My only complaint was that both of us thought the beds were too hard and we did not sleep well there. Very nice, helpful, and courteous with good area information.

Good value, comfortable bed and room
Pets
I'm unlikely to stay at a 2* because I've gotten hotels that take pets the last two times and I'm allergic to cat dander. However, I slept fine at this hotel and didn't have any allergies, but it didn't feel clean to me since there was no guarantee that a cat didn't share the room the night before.

Having my own kitchen was great.
However, some items were lacking in the kitchen equipment, like bowls or table spoons.
Room had a terrible smell.

When I entered the room I noticed that it had been treated with some air freshener. Later, I figured out why; the room had a terrible smell I noticed whenever I walked in.
