Hotel was a great value for the price. One of the rooms had a faulty air conditioner. Second attempt by staff to fix the problem resulted in discovery of a faulty part, but engineering department was able to temporarily solve the problem. Staff was responsive to our needs.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.
There was a prom or something going on and it seemed like teenage kids were very loud in the hallways way past midnight. Difficult to sleep.

I had no problem with the hotel or the staff. Teenagers occupying some of the rooms on my floor were loud and disruptive. Couldn't sleep.

We loved the location near the Metro (3 miles) and an upscale mall.
No shuttle to Metro, no refrigerator in room, moderate highway noise.

The Fairfax Marriott was just what we needed. Close to the Metro to get into DC as a family, upscale mall nearby for food in the evening, a clean and appealing atmosphere. Staff was friendly and available. The same accommodations in DC had a much higher price tag + parking!

Expensive to eat there.

Very convenient location and excellent value for money. The room was very comfortable and clean. Wide variety of eating places nearby but food in the hotel very expensive - breakfast was $14.95.

It was very clean.
It was not friendly.

Very impressive hotel, but very very expensive food. Fifteen dollars a person for breakfast. I paid for a room that was going to give me and my wife a free breakfast. The hotel notified me afterwards that the breakfast was not free.

Bed was comfortable and it was nice to have Starbucks within the building.
The front desk person was so rude, he treated me and my sons 2nd class citizens. Very insulted!

All show, felt as if I was in Las Vegas where you can move or speak to staff without their hand out. It was suited for those need to spend and to surround themselves shell like amenities which offer nothing.

Liked everything.
