Charming lobby with warmly decorated sitting areas and a very friendly desk clerk.
The location was about a half mile to the beginning of town and another half mile to the center of town.
This hotel was decorated for Christmas and had a very warm feeling when we entered the lobby with the large fireplace. The location may be out too far for those walking to town with small children or some out-of-shape individuals who don't exercise much, but we welcomed the 15 to 30-minutes walks to town each day. Although we are in our sixties, we utilized the opportunity to view the beautiful Little Pigeon River which we walked beside on the way to town. The sidewalks were adequate for our little treks each day and we looked forward to the walks. There is also a trolley with a stop right outside the hotel for the less adventurous, and it only costs fifty cents for a one-way trip to town. We stayed at this hotel once before and were very happy that Priceline assigned it to us again. We would definitely seek this hotel out in the future. read more

Lock on door was stuck and would not unlock with key card. Another room was provided for us to wait in until access could be made. About an hour wait at 10 P.M. Staff was courteous and helpful during this incident.

Rooms looked new, nicely decorated; very comfortable.
Pool was very small, not worth getting wet.
Hotel lived up to our expectations. It is about one mile from the center of town. The rooms were great, it seems like they are new or newly decorated. Tastefully decorated, comfortable, and convenient.

The exercise room was great! Not real big, but good equipment.
The jacuzzi/hot tub (by the indoor pool) did not look real clean, so we did not use it.
Overall, this hotel was very nice. It is decorated well in all of the common areas as well as the room. It was extremely clean. It was quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful and let us know which restaurant had the best reputation. The breakfast was great, plenty of hot food. We had no complaints.

The hotel is fairly new, so everything was very contemporary.
Our room was very small, with no outdoor space.
