staff friendly
could not direct us into hotel effectively
first stay room tile & toilet had stains/dirty areas. Windowsill had mildew. there was an accident out front and staff could not effectively help us gain quick entry so took an hour to get in toting all our luggage. housekeeper threw away parking stub and staff told us wrong way to get out of garage. staff could be more knowledgeable and prepared for adverse circumstances. Mgr did not adjust room rate despite complaint. read more

Old fashioned elegance, location, swimming pool.
No hooks in bathrooms for hanging towels.
This is a lovely old charming hotel of a a time when care and attention was paid to elegant furnishings and detail. The location is excellent - near the Glenbow museum, Calgary tower, art gallery, river walkways, and restaurants.

Good location.
Rooms were very small.
Nice hotel, but very old and the rooms are desperately in need up updating.

Location to downtown.
Restaurant was very expensive to eat at.
The polisher is a beautiful old hotel.
