The view from our room was spectacular and the hotel staff was great.
The bathroom had mold and the floors did not look mopped. Additionally, the bed linen had huge holes in it.
Overall, enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was great. Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the huge holes in our bed linen. The hotel staff was great. They were accommodating and helpful.

Historic hotel with the 'old-style' feel without sacrificing modern amenities.
Had to pay for wireless internet in the room.
The hotel was beautiful with a true 'landmark' feel to it. Historic setting to the hotel with all the modern features you would expect with a four star hotel. Fantastic view of Alcatraz from my room. Would like to not have to pay for internet in the room - but oh well. The staff was exceptional and addressed me by name and the Tonga Room was a great dining experience. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others. read more

Lobby and entrance are spectacular. Old world elegence.
Not a great value for the price.
Fantastic entry and lobby. Courteous check in and concierge (Nelson) was exceptional. Parking cost should be noted as a add on. Room was small as was the bathroom. No turn down or chocolates that one would expect in a major hotel.
