Central location, nice gardens/surrounding area, not too smoky in casino, and a friendly staff.
Hotel is older and rooms need refurbishing especially the bathroom.
The Flamingo hotel is in an excellent, central location and good for the average traveler as the hotel was not too ostentatious. Buffet restaurant was in a nice setting with a fair variety for meals. The hotel has old-time character.

Location on the strip.
Doesn't offer discounts to shows or restaurants at the hotel.
Hotel staff was quick to correct ant problem noted in bathtub by spraying with insecticide then housekeeping cleaning almost instantaneously after I called. Great Service, great location

It has live flamingos.
Dirty bathroom, dirty lights, old carpet & TV, $13 internet.
Selected on star rating and location to the Sands Expo..poor room standards and old amenities..I was disappointed in my stay.

The garden area.
Slow check-in/smoky rooms.
Heard good things about this hotel but when I arrived, it took almost an hour to check in, then we wanted a non-smoking room and the room smelled like smoke from years past, also the only real reason we wanted to go was for the pool and of course that closed at 5PM and since it took so long to check in we missed out on the pool. Other than that the speedy checkout from the TV was nice, but I would not choose this hotel again. read more

Convenient.
Initially room's bathroom did not have a working shower and the sink leaked; not fun the first night's stay.
I loved the location and the condition and decor of the room I changed to. Restaurant prices were reasonable and food was good. Loved Margarita ville and other nightlife attractions. Shopping was close by as well as a variety of alternative restaurants.

Location.
Long lines at front desk.
Fabulous location, right in the middle of the strip. This hotel is not as fancy or nice as some of the others, but if you're going to Vegas to party then convenience is more important than the room being glamorous. It seemed like they may have been understaffed, but everyone that helped me was extremely kind and responsive.

Location was good.
Handicapped access in and out and around the hotel was not good.
The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas is a historic place to stay, I have stayed there many times in the past. It is worth while to visit and a convenient location to stay. However, if you are traveling with someone who is wheelchair-bound, the elevator to the Monorail was out of order, the elevator to the bridge over Las Vegas Blvd. was out of order, and the crowds on that part of the strip made it sometimes an ordeal just enjoying ourselves and getting from place to place. Also, the sidewalks really need to be improved. read more
