Description of Four Queens Hotel And Casino
On the comer of the brightest spot in the world- ground broke on November 16- 1964- for one of the most famous Glitter Gulch landmarks -- the Four Queens Hotel/Casino. The hotel was dedicated to owner/builder Ben Goffsteins four daughters- Faith- Hope- Benita and Michele. It began as a pint-size property with 120 rooms and a casino of 20-000 square feet. Under creative leadership it has grown to be a jewel in todays downtown Las Vegas. In 1976- the casino expanded to 33-000 square feet- and the new decor set the interior-decorating trend for Las Vegas casinos by replacing the typical gambling-house red and black with warm earth tones. Another casino expansion in 1977 enlarged the casino to 40-000 square feet. It now takes up the full block of Fremont Street from Casino Center to Third Street. Another addition in 1981 added a nineteen-story- 400-room tower with a new front desk and lobby area plus 8-000 more square feet of casino space bringing it currently to 690 rooms of which 42 are suites- and approximately 50-000 square feet of casino space. In 2003- new owners TLC brought about a complete renovation of the hotel and casino. The Four Queens offers meeting and convention space for up to 180 people in the Royal Pavilion The gourmet restaurant- Hugos Cellar- has won recognition for five years as the best gourmet room in Las Vegas. Hugos wine list holds an Award of Excellence from The Wine Spectator. A 1995 Zagat survey listed the Four Queens as a property with solid comfort and super specials dealt daily. Forty years of downtown warmth and gaming entertainment make the Four Queens stand out as a Glitter Gulch landmark. read more

Big room.
Slow moving drain in the bathroom sink. Lower water pressure for the shower.

I was overwhelmingly pleased with this room! The king sized bed was perfect since it was just my husband and I. The room was cleaned just like I would do it at home. No trace of anything was on the floor.

It was clean and well stocked.
We thought the room had a refrigerator and it didn't. The bed had a lump in the middle.

This hotel was very nice. It was clean although not especially fancy.

Bed was very comfortable.
The walls are paper thin; had trouble sleeping with noise (cars honking, neighbors yelling).

Comfortable room, although I could hear noises from the street level and next door very clearly. Bathroom was very small.

Good location. Enjoyed the Fremont Street Experience.
A number of homeless people very near property.

Good value for the money. Easy access to expressway and airport. Taxi cabs available 24/7 right at front door. Friendly staff and nice casino especially for the middle class gambler.

Convenient, cleanliness, hospitality.
Night bellhop not doing job.

Overall the hotel is excellent. Had difficulty getting oxygen to room from bell hop. Day bell hop said as soon as arrives will bring to room. Went down at 11pm and bell hop stated they do not do that. I have been in many hotels and it is a courtesy for them, I have been going to this hotel for over 18 years and will continue every year at this time.

Heater broken,
TV broken, cold water.

Wintertime, cold water, could not shower.
TV kept going on and off, heater at best was 68 degrees. Had to keep jackets on while in the room. Decided never to visit LV in the winter again.
