Free continental breakfast. Wine & cheese in evening.
Mattresses unusually soft. No in-house sundries shop.
Disappointed mainly due to the price of this hotel. There are better choices nearby. Advertising led me to expect more. There are no in-house or attached shops. They are nearby within 2 or 3 blocks. Hotel has coffee, tea and iced tea available in the lobby and on all three floors all day. Wine and cheese in the evening in the lobby and milk and cookies at 8pm in the lobby. Nice touch. Free USA Today newspaper at your door each morning. Mandatory valet parking at a cost of $17 per day. read more

Excellent service, great location, and wonderful amenities.
No exercise room or pool.
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. All the little extras made our stay so much more enjoyable than we ever expected. Outstanding customer service. Staff acted as though they really were glad to serve you. Number one in Charleston!

Bathtub and shower combination. Clean bathroom and spacious.
Some women behind the desk were a little testy.
I would call in modern but with old world features. Nice art work in public ares. It is not actually on church street. The entrance is on a side street. Nice to have public balconies, but view not pretty. Better if you could enter from church street. Better if we could park our own car. $17 a day for valet service-high. Valet often not there when we needed him. Egg offering/cereal for free breakfast would help. Mostly, the mattress was just too soft. I came home with a back ache. read more

Valet only parking was convenient. Access to the hotel was via a circular drive on an alley. Other local hotels used street parking.
$17.00 per day parking.
