Location: close to plaza in Santa Fe.
Rooms were quite old and could benefit from upgrade.

Room was clean and comfortable, but could use renovation. Staff was pleasant and ample parking available for a fee. Property looked nice and well kept. Great location just a short walk to the plaza. Great way to see Santa Fe on a budget. Save your money for the great restaurants and galleries.

The ideal walking distance to the Santa Fe Plaza was awesome.

Located one block from the historic Santa Fe plaza, this hotel is not only a classy taste of the past but also a classy touch of the present. Hospitality and reasonable accommodation prices add to the unique attractiveness of the Desert Inn.

The location was perfect for us. The hotel was clean.
The beds were hard and the chairs were not comfortable.

For one night it was okay. The people were pleasant and the location was perfect for what we wanted. We would not want to stay there again.

Location and
basic necessities.
Bed was uncomfortable and the satellite service was in/out most of the time. Also the water came out white so I felt uncomfortable giving it to my dog

The hotel is old, but the rooms were clean and well stocked. My dog and I had a nice relaxing weekend there.

Very convenient to Downtown Santa Fe.
Very low showerhead.

A great location and reasonable price for Downtown Santa Fe. Not luxurious, but reasonable value for the price.

Excellent location.
Had to pay for parking, smoking outside doors drifted into rooms, no screens on windows.

Great location, rooms were clean.
Bed was uncomfortable, hot water came and went, walls were thin.

If you are on a budget and looking for a great location in Santa Fe, this place is perfect. Do not expect thick walls (I could hear everything next door), consistent hot water (went from hot to cold in the shower), a quiet air conditioner/heat unit (both were somewhat noisy). If you're on a budget and don't mind staying in a motel it is fine. It is not a place for a romantic get away. read more

Convenience to the plaza.
Walls were thin.

My experience with Desert Inn was very pleasant. My family enjoyed breakfast on the premises, then a very short walk to the plaza. Overall, a very nice experience.

It had antiques for sale at a reasonable price.

Adequate for my stay. Not fancy, and reasonably priced.
