Location and
basic necessities.
Bed was uncomfortable and the satellite service was in/out most of the time. Also the water came out white so I felt uncomfortable giving it to my dog
The hotel is old, but the rooms were clean and well stocked. My dog and I had a nice relaxing weekend there.

Great location, rooms were clean.
Bed was uncomfortable, hot water came and went, walls were thin.
If you are on a budget and looking for a great location in Santa Fe, this place is perfect. Do not expect thick walls (I could hear everything next door), consistent hot water (went from hot to cold in the shower), a quiet air conditioner/heat unit (both were somewhat noisy). If you're on a budget and don't mind staying in a motel it is fine. It is not a place for a romantic get away. read more

It had antiques for sale at a reasonable price.
Adequate for my stay. Not fancy, and reasonably priced.

Need to wash the comforter once a while.
Got charged $8 parking fee at the check out.

Excellent location, clean and quiet. Exceeded by expectations.
Paying for parking ($8)!
I was pleasantly surprised and the hotel exceeded my expectations. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Desert Inn to anyone, its location is great, it's clean, quiet and comfortable.

The location is extremely convenient.
When an event (wedding, meeting, etc) is taking place, the parking is limited.
Very convenient to the main plaza and shopping area, easy to get to other sites, very clean, good service. Have stayed here before, will do so again.

An older, but very well maintained and updated hotel right in the heart of downtown Santa Fe.
