Hotel Calinda Geneve is in the pink zone, just steps from stores, shopping areas, and minutes away from the most important financial centers and tourist attractions. The hotel was built in 1907, and was the most modern and elegant hotel in the city. During the civil war of 1912, the hotel was declared neutral zone and politicians and important foreigners stayed saved and protected. During the 1920s some important public persons stayed as well, such the case of Sir Charles August Lindberg, who crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, and stayed several times at the hotel. Through the years, the hotel has been renovated to keep offering its guests the most comfortable rooms and premises, preserving its classic European style, as well as the best and personalized service that characterizes Hotel Calinda Geneve. Excellent location, wonderful hotel, friendly staff. If I will be again in Mexico City this is the hotel I'll stay.

The entire staff was very attentive to your needs and comfort. They did everything reasonable to make sure you got what you wanted.
They charge and arm and a leg to do your laundry. The taxis they recommended charged almost double what they should.

Hotel Geneva is a very satisfactory hotel. The attention given to your room, the respect and gentleness of the reception agents, the bellhops, and the cleaning staff is very satisfactory. Everyone was extremely polite and sincere, I'm sure. It's in one of the most central, and perhaps best, locations in Mexico City. Everything you need is within a 1-kilometer radius. You can walk north or south to almost all the tourist attractions, museums, Zocalos, parks, etc. From the hotel walk two minutes to Paseo Reforma and you're on all the major bus and taxi routes to and from the area, Zona Rosa. You need only take the Touribus if you are too lazy to walk and you'll see and experience much less. read more
