The staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to a freeway.
It was not a three star hotel, and there was no restaurant.

In renovations, breakfast started too late. Stark, empty public places.

Right off of the freeway.
The location was a bit iffy.

The lobby area was being renovated so it was hard to tell what it actually looked like. The room was great for a 2-2 1/2* hotel. Definitely not a 3*. The staff was very nice.

Clean, nice, kept up well, friendly staff, adequate parking, and complimentary breakfast.
They were in the process of re-modeling the lobby and first floor.

Exceeded my expectations for my parameter of a 3-star hotel. Very close to down-town Sacramento. Clean, nice, friendly, accommodating staff, good
and adequate parking, nice pool and jacuzzi. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

Hotel staff was curteous.
Hotel was old, under construction and dingy, old décor.

The hotel was under construction. The room was dark and dingy looking. The refrigerator and the air/heat unit was so loud. The gym had 3 or 4 machines that was stuffed into a hotel room on the ground level. The upside was that the hotel staff were nice and courteous.

The hotel was conveniently located to the Railroad Museum and Old Sacramento.
The hotel room decor wasn't up to date.

One night at the Governors Inn Hotel was good for my family and I. At the time we were there, the Hotel was going through a remodel. The first and third floors were closed due to the remodel. Upon arrival at the front desk, I requested two queen sized beds. I was happy that she was able to locate a room w/ our needs. Our hotel room was very clean, although the decor and carpets were old fashioned. Fortunately, I prefer a clean room over an old fashion style room. So I'm not complaining. We just stayed there for one night so it wasn't a bad deal at all. read more
