Description of Grand Hyatt Denver
Located in the heart of the downtown Denver business and entertainment district. Within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and movies. All rooms were renovated in April 2004 and include pillowtop mattresses and massaging showerheads. There is a rooftop mini-resort with indoor pool, outdoor jacuzzi, tennis and jogging track, and fully equipped athletic club with cardio-theater. read more

"Fabulous service" is one of the draws at this "beautiful hotel" in a "convenient" Downtown location that "lives up to its name", exhibiting "excellent decor" ("especially in the lobby bar area"), nightly live piano music in the lounge, "wonderful mountain views" from "lovely rooms" outfitted with "comfy beds" and a "must-see rooftop bar"; it's a "great value", even if some foodies find the "expensive" food "mediocre, at best"; N.B. room renovations were recently completed.

The pool was too cold, parking was a pain (valet only) and expensive ($28).

Very friendly service from everyone we came in contact with.
The bathtub was uncomfortable and there was a little water in the tub when we checked in.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The hot tub was outside and broken for a portion of our stay. The swimming pool was a little cool.

Location. Cleanliness. Television.
Valet parking too expensive; no free internet

Overall, a good experience and well worth price paid. Location allows easy access to public transportation (free and otherwise). Parking garages are plentiful, all are significantly cheaper than the hotel's garage, and you don't have to tip people and interact with people as much.
