Description of Grand Resort Hotel And Convention Center
Located in the lobby is a five-story waterfall with reflection pool as well as a restaurant on site. There are 398 deluxe guest rooms, Jacuzzi and honeymoon suites. Amenities in the rooms are microwaves and refrigerators, fireplaces, non-smoking rooms, handicap rooms, kitchenettes, 25 inch remote control televisions with satellite and free HBO, direct dial telephones, in room controlled heaters and air conditioners. The hotel also offers complimentary newspaper, biscuit and gravy or pancake breakfast with purchase of drink (in season), game room, free parking, 24 hour front desk, elevators, room service, wake-up service, conference facilities, trolley stop in front of the property, picnic areas and fishing on the river behind the hotel, the areas largest indoor Jacuzzi pool and a heated indoor/outdoor pool. read more

Poor overall cleanliness and poor maintenance of the hotel.

The waterfall was really just a rock wall with a very small amount of water trickling down it. Our room was somewhat dirty, the toilet did not flush well and there was no shower head in the shower. There was a receptacle on the wall that was broken and had wiring exposed. The stair wells were very dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to others. This was a very disappointing experience. read more

Location.
Hotel was gross, out-dated, dark dreary. It looks nice on outside but not inside.

The hotel may look good on the outside but not on the inside. I do not recommend staying here. The hotel desperately needs a major face-lift and updating. The rooms were old and smelly. We will not stay there again.

The hotel sat right on a creek that was very pretty.
The tub was small and bright blue.

Being moved to a quieter room near the river.
Being put in a room next to the arcade.

The room we stayed in near the river was fairly nice, but needed updating. It was roomy with 2 queen size beds which were comfortable and clean. We were first put in a room next to the arcade and elevator and was not able to get much sleep because of the noise. They were very accomadating about moving us.

Regular keys no key cards very small rooms.

Lobby has been updated but rooms have not. very small rooms if you don't mind those things price is good.
