The bathroom was clean, and fridge in the room.
Stains on the carpet and dingy walls.
The room just had a dingy feel with stains on the carpets and the dingy walls. The bathroom was nice and clean which I was grateful for. The location was great just a block away from Lombard Street and lots of little stores, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance.

Friendly staff.
Loud heater, missing light bulbs, and a very small bathroom.
There were missing and burnt out light bulbs and the heater was ridiculously loud (very difficult to sleep due to this). The manager called looking for keys that the maid lost and continued to stay on the line after I told him they were not in my room and I had look almost as if accusing me of having them.

Great price for location, free parking, and an easy access.
Carpeting was stained, could use some updates.
The hotel was comfortable, in a very good location, free WiFi was available. The room had a refrigerator which was convenient. The front desk was very helpful with directions, etc. Free parking was a great feature.

Area was good, local shops and restaurants, close to public transit, close to SF landmarks, good price for area.
Room smelled, dirty floors, very noisy AC/Heat Unit, very thin towels, check-in was unorganized.
For the price I paid, it was great as far as location and neighborhood. It was close to public transit and had variety of choices as far as restaurants. The room had a stench however. The floors were dirty and stained, never walked around without slippers. I'm 5'9 and the shower head was set at a 5'4 person so had to squat a bit to shower, it was weird. Had a skylight in the bathroom and it was cracked open which made it cold at night. Check in was normally at 3pm. I called around noon to see if we could check in early and they said come by around 2pm. Got there at 2pm and was not ready, was told to come back at 3pm. Mind you we had no car so we were on foot and had to go kill time just waiting so we can check in. Most hotel places have their rooms ready by check-in time and we noticed around 4pm they were still trying to clean rooms. I thought that was odd. We were on a budget so we paid for what we got. Surrounding area was good though. read more
