I liked this hotel because it was in walking distance to Little Italy & the Bay.
I did not like this hotel because of the train that would pass by late at night & day.

I loved that the room temperature was very cool when we walked in! I loved that it was way nicer than had been described.
Didn't like the parking garage! The TV didn't work!
This hotel was clean and appeared newer! The parking garage is horrible and you get to pay $12 dollars to park in it! The hotel provides a free shuttle, which is perfect for downtown S.D.

It's clean and the location is very covenient with Trolley station very near
Not microweb nor frigidaire included. Once they didn't prepare the room before 4 PM
It's nice and near of everything:the sea, downtown, little Italy, shopping, etc. and you can go every where just taking the trolley or bus with a pass day ticket

I enjoyed the customer service.
The trains weren't unbearable but they were noticeable.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn. The quality of service and overall cleanliness was excellent. I would definitely stay at this location again and would recommend it to those traveling to San Diego.

Great bed.
The train kept me up all night.
The hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable, but the train runs right behind it and it's very loud all through the night. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff was friendly and approachable.
This hotel was in a great location for my vacation. It was within walking distance of Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter. It was very easy to get to Old Town San Diego and Balboa Park. I was surprised that the hotel offered a shuttle to the zoo and other nearby attractions. This hotel is right next to the train tracks, but the tracks run through downtown San Diego and are close to all of the downtown hotels. I was not bothered by the trains. I will stay at this hotel again, if I visit San Diego again. read more

Good location to the harbor.
A busy train track runs right behind the hotel and it very noisy!
The hotel is right next to a busy railroad track where the trains blow their horns non-stop. The rooms were clean and the continental breakfast was good. They also had complimentary shuttles to the cruise terminal.

It had a comfortable bed.
I was placed in the smoking section.
I was placed in the smoking section without warning. Our view was of a black tar roof. And we were about 50 ft. from a train line. The housekeeping lady was whistling in the hall all morning and the trains came every 10 minutes. I will never stay here again.
