The free breakfast was nice. They actually had some healthy food.
The mattress was way too soft

Usually Hampton Inns are very pleasant. However this one is in need of updating. The bed was soft and lumpy. Unfortunately for the general populace the state of Virginia still allows smoking in hotel rooms. Even though I had a non smoking room, that vile smell permeates the walls and I could smell it particularly in the bathroom. The hotel was completely full and they could not move me. Also, I had a handicapped room and it was very difficult to use the bathroom. Also there were only two elevators and one was always breaking down. With a full hotel this was difficult to deal with. There is nothing I can declare as not likable.

Desk staff and GM were considerate and helpful.
Housekeeping failed to clean my room one day.

I was in the area for business. Check in was easy and desk staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, housekeeping failed to clean my room one day. To the credit of front desk and the general manager they responded quickly with consideration and empathy for my concerns and made this one failing right. I would stay here again.

Too much chlorine in pool, weird pool hours (5:00pm - 10:00 pm).

Great price and good location!
