Family Traveling with Young Children

The location to the metro was convenient.
The area surrounding the hotel was not the best. The access to the hotel was difficult from the road.
The day we arrived we could not enjoy the pool since the yard maintenance was extremely loud and right by where we were sitting. The elevator could have used some maintenance and we had to wait for 3 elevators on the day we checked out before we could get on one. Having said all of that the front desk was helpful and courteous and even though the breakfast and buffet dinner left something to be desired they were free and about what I expected. I would recommend this to business travelers but not to families especially with young children. read more

Free internet.
On major road - lots of traffic noise.
The hotel appearance was OK. Lobby was clean. The rooms did have a new bed, desk and TV, but the bathroom and kitchen area were old. The bed was too firm. The refrigerator was old and ran so load we had to unplug it. The air conditioning on full blast produced lukewarm air. When people left their rooms the door slamming was surprisingly loud. The free breakfast was not good. It was very greasy and the toaster was broken. read more

The breakfast buffet was ok.
Even though it had a kitchen I wouldn't call that room a suite.
Disappointing.

Perfect and centrally located.
All the necessary amenities were provided. Cable, wireless access, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, a small kitchen in the room and it was very clean. I would recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone. I failed to mention that the continental breakfast offered was more like a buffet! Not just cold cereal, coffee, bagels and fruit.

Very clean, everything in the room was well organized.
Smoking from other guests.
I really enjoyed the plasma TV set in the room, and enjoyed the fact that if I needed a kitchen to prepare anything that one was included in my room. Bathroom was a little small but overall I would stay here again.

Exercise equipment.
Breakfast wasn't that great.
Hotel is in process of renovation. It really isn't fair to rate it at this time.

The newly remodeled rooms.
The remodeling and lack of fitness room.
Check in was great however there was an issue with the shuttle and the discrepancy with time pick ups. We were told several times the shuttle would be right there and then ended up waiting an hour at time, which was frustrating. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and comfortable.

I thought the staff was friendly and helpful with luggage and transportation to metro.
I feel they could expand their shuttle hours to later in the evening.
I liked the staff at the Hawthorne suites. They were very helpful and friendly. I think it will be really pretty when the lobby is completely renovated. Our room was very nicely renovated and had everything we needed to feel comfortable.
