Heartland Inn Waterloo Crossroads

What can you say. It's in Waterloo Iowa.

It was ok. I expected more for the price. No iron or ironing board in room.

This hotel is behind another structure, not on the main road. I pulled into the parking lot & found it full of construction vehicles, trucks, trailers, etc. There were shirtless men at the entrances smoking & drinking beer. Beer and soda cans were overflowing from the outer trash cans. I did not feel at all comfortable or safe, but it was 10pm, I was tired of driving, so I checked in. There was a man at the desk checking in at the same time & the receptionist gave my room number out loud!! I was on the second floor and was given directions to the stairs (no elevators?) I would not recommend this property. It was way over-priced for the value, the hot breakfast items were cold, and the roome were soggy with humidity. The exercise room was a joke and the rooms were cramped.

Hotel staff was friendly but I was kept waiting after a long day of traveling because my reservation was not in their computer data. Hotel was convenient to my travel plans.

It was a nice get away for my family.
