Beautiful carp pond and fresh air lobby.
Dank hallways from partial flooding.
Very friendly and laid-back staff typical of Hilo. Comfortable open-air lobby area overlooking large well-kept car pond. 45-minute walk to downtown. Inconvenient without a car. Multiple small flights of stairs can make moving baggage difficult.

Clean with friendly staff.
This hotel was nice and met my expectations. Clean and safe hotel with friendly staff. The location was not the best. It was not in walking distance of the downtown shops which forced us to drive/park downtown which was not always convenient.

Everything perfectly clean and in great condition.
It is basically an over-grown roadside motel. No internet access in room.
Thumbs up to the staff for great care of the hotel. Architecturally though it is horrible. My room had the only window facing the outdoor corridor where the entrance was. Don't let the Seaside confuse you. It is an airport roadside motel. Albeit a very good one.

The location was next to the beautiful Ice Ponds of Hi lo. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. The hotel was kept very clean inside and out.
Rooms were small and average. Decor in rooms average. No bar, not alchloe or smoking allowed at pool or public areas of hotel.
As someone who has stayed at resorts an luxury hotels. I think this had pretty grounds and was preety clean. The hotel/resturant was average, nice, well worth the price that I got! Would stay again!

Nice public spaces, guest laundry available.
A little noisy (airport flight path, other guests etc).
A decent hotel for those on a budget. Room was clean and had plenty of space, but no balcony or view (naturally costs more to get those). I had a room at the end of a row so had less noise from passing guests, but noise still traveled and you are close to the flight path (flights do not go on all night though). Adjacent restaurant is convenient but they close at 8:00 pm and I felt like I was being rushed out the door at 8.15 am even though they had taken their time getting the food to me. Overall, a good place to stay for those who aren't looking for luxury, but don't want to sacrifice basic cleanliness and facilities for the sake of their budget. read more
