Maid didn't return when asked - room wasn't cleaned.

The Chicago Hilton is a great hotel in the heart of downtown. You are within walking distance of many terrific restaurants and attractions. We've stayed here a couple of times and this is the first time we've had below par service, specifically, room cleaning service. We returned to our room pretty late in the afternoon to find the room hadn't been cleaned. The maid stopped by shortly after and we asked for an hour to get settled - she never returned. I would've preferred she communicated that she couldn't come back in hour (my assumption) than just not show up at all. read more

History is unique.
Rooms too small, dark and musty smelling.

Horrible! While this hotel has a lot of history it is in need of a serious makeover. Furniture, fixtures, carpet, it just needs a lot of TLC.

The cleaning lady opened our door and then came back later and tried to come in.

Bed was great, everything was clean. The room was tiny.

Comfortable room.

Nice room and facilities, but the additional charges were quite high - $43 for overnight parking in hotel ramp (not even valet); $21 for internet access (fortunately I had a 3G card).
