Conveniently located -- shopping, attractions, and subway (even to airport) within walking distance.
Somewhat noisy – could hear noise from other guest rooms and hallways.

Good value at Priceline price, and a great location.
not a luxury feel, old decor, only 2 towels, no extra blanket, no concierge
Husband and I spent a week in Chicago for anniversary trip and stayed in Hilton garden Inn. Has very convenient access to subway, and walking distance to Magnificent mile, which is great! Room is adequate, but not luxurious. Very basic cable TV - maybe 20 channels. Has microwave and small fridge in room, but no silverware or napkins. Basic bathroom, but only 2 towels. Walls are paper thin! You will hear construction (jackhammer), loud trucks, motorcycles, and emergency vehicles all day and night. No concierge service and staff are not particularly helpful with recommendations nor directions. Location is great and bed is comfortable. We paid low price on Priceline, so very satisfied with overall value at this price. read more

Location.
Parking price should mentioned even with naming price.
Our room was loud, from both the hallway and from the window. The room itself was large and well appointed. The bed was super nice as well. Parking was convenient but while comparative to the area was a lot of money. The location is amazing, the city is amazing, great time overall!

Convenience to downtown.
Elevators are a bit slow and the parking is overpriced, but it is that way at almost all hotels downtown.

Great location, very clean, and a helpful staff.
Furnishings outdated, bed was uncomfortable, loud air conditioner.
This hotel has near perfect location with a subway stop less than 30 feet from the front door. It's in the heart of the business district. The desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful and polite, more so than at most hotels. The rooms are smallish, as is expected with city hotels. The WiFi internet connection included in the price was great, and the microwave and mini-fridge are nice features. The only drawbacks were that the adjustable mattress was uncomfortable and the AC unit was loud. A few tweaks and this HGI will be competitive with the Courtyard by Marriott standard. read more

Bed and linens, cleanliness, and staff interactions.
Storage space in bathroom.
I would definitely visit this hotel again. The newly decorated room, the comfort of the bed, responsiveness of the staff, and the room cleanliness were real pluses. The bathroom is a little spartan and could use a magnifying mirror and better storage space.

Location.
It needs renovation, and they need to have heavy curtains close all the way! No privacy and too much light in the morning! Otherwise good deal.

I thought the hotel was absolutely Awesome! I'll definitely be staying there again in the future.
The bottled water was $5.
I had read some other reviews about the Hilton Gardens Inn that weren't exactly positive. I did not have any negative experiences with this hotel at all. The staff was friendly & helpful; the noise from outside was minimal at worst; the hotel was clean & my room was better than I could expect for the price I paid. It was an overall wonderful experience & I would recommend this hotel to everyone. read more

Very clean and convenient for staying close to Michigan Ave and State St. for shopping.
Could hear
TV and people talking at normal levels from room next door.
Overall nice place to stay, a little snooty for the level of the accommodations. Not quite as fancy as they would like you to believe. Front desk staff was very nice.
