Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile

I would definitely visit this hotel again. The newly decorated room, the comfort of the bed, responsiveness of the staff, and the room cleanliness were real pluses. The bathroom is a little spartan and could use a magnifying mirror and better storage space.

It needs renovation, and they need to have heavy curtains close all the way! No privacy and too much light in the morning! Otherwise good deal.

I had read some other reviews about the Hilton Gardens Inn that weren't exactly positive. I did not have any negative experiences with this hotel at all. The staff was friendly & helpful; the noise from outside was minimal at worst; the hotel was clean & my room was better than I could expect for the price I paid. Overall nice place to stay, a little snooty for the level of the accommodations. Not quite as fancy as they would like you to believe. Front desk staff was very nice.

Everything was great except for the bedding. Too hot and heavy. I had to call the desk in the middle of the night for a blanket. A heavy down comforter is uncomfortable except in the dead of winter.

Layout was really nice. They had a separate living/work area that was conducive to have people visit. The wet bar area was also very nice with appliances that were hidden away in a cabinet. Bathroom was top notch, as were the toiletries. Even on the wrong side of the building, I had great views.
