Convenience to downtown.
Elevators are a bit slow and the parking is overpriced, but it is that way at almost all hotels downtown.

It needs renovation, and they need to have heavy curtains close all the way! No privacy and too much light in the morning! Otherwise good deal.

Location.
The comforter on the bed is too hot and too heavy.
Everything was great except for the bedding. Too hot and heavy. I had to call the desk in the middle of the night for a blanket. A heavy down comforter is uncomfortable except in the dead of winter.

One of the best locations in the city.
Pool/hot tub area was a bit sketchy. Obviously original.
Layout was really nice. They had a separate living/work area that was conducive to have people visit. The wet bar area was also very nice with appliances that were hidden away in a cabinet. Bathroom was top notch, as were the toiletries. Even on the wrong side of the building, I had great views.

Excellent facilities and location, friendly staff, and the ambiance was great.
Did not provide shower caps.
Beds and toilets were clean. TV had great movie channels. Internet was fast.

Great Location near subway line.
Staff was not helpful and unprofessional. Room was in horrible condition.
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in as far as customer service and accommodating the traveler. I checked was given a smoking room on a floor that reeked with smoke once you exited the elevator. The entire room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. As I have allergies, I requested that they make the room a little more usable. After two attempts and 1:30 minutes out of the room, nothing was done and the staff had an arrogance of treating me like I was asking for too much. They said they had no nonsmoking rooms, so I spent most of the night on a sofa in the lobby and elevator lobby. Most distasteful experience ever with the hotel industry. read more

Construction outside - vallet area small - do not answer phones at time - routed through phone system

It was fairly close to Michigan ave.
The room smelled bad and was very small. Parking was very expensive. The pool and hot tub were tiny. We would not stay there again.
