It's always Miller Time at this "grand" hotel built in 1927, where "old elegance" – an "ornate" marble entrance hall, "gorgeous rooms" and a ballroom – coexists with contemporary additions such as "Starbucks in the lobby" and an immense "indoor water park" for kids; the Downtown location is within "walking distance to restaurants, shopping, museums", "sports arenas and conference centers", but lovebirds are happy staying indoors, where the atmosphere is surprisingly "conducive to romantic feelings"; P.S. traveler's tip: the "outdoor parking next to the hotel" is cheaper than on-site.

The lobby was beautiful. It had the look and charm of an old hotel (1929 style) completely refurbished.
Small bathroom.

Old charm but very nice new interior. Lovely public spaces.

Beautiful lobby.
Rooms unkept, spider webs and stains on bedding.

We went to Milwaukee for a concert so we basically just needed a bed to sleep in, I don't think I would be happy with the quality of the room had we paid regular price. There was cobwebs on the ceiling and stains on some of the bedding.

Restored historic building, recently updated rooms and friendly staff.

The hotel felt elegant in a classic 1920's way, not modern overbearing glitz. I was in the restored older part of the hotel and my room had high ceilings, restored historic appeal, and all the comforts you'd expect in a hotel of this caliber. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Average hotel rooms with many functional issues. Extremely small living space and restroom.

I liked the price for the value.
The staff were not helpful (if they were there)..

Review where you are going before you get there. The concierge was not helpful (if they could be found). Most times, the bellman or a front desk person had to give you the information you needed. When I finally did get to talk to the concierge, I asked them to arrange a rental car pick up for me but I was simply provided with a list of phone numbers and told to call myself.
