Convenient off the expressway. The front desk staff was excellent.
Food service delivery was awful, cold food. Starbucks free coupon was not worth anything because it is not open on weekends and I arrived Friday mid.
Front desk staff was excellent. I arrived at 8:30 am on Friday, October 23 and the staff got me in a room early and I was so happy to be able to sleep before my 5 pm meeting.

The location and helpful, friendly staff.
Not enough fresh fruit. Starbucks was not open on Sunday morning.
This hotel is conveniently located near the airport. The staff seemed to know little or nothing about the surrounding neighborhood, like the package store next door and if it was safe or not to walk over and shop there. This place is ideal for the business traveler because of the free shuttle to the airport and the proximity to downtown. It would behoove the staff to familiarize themselves with the politics that allow the surrounding neighborhood to appear in a rather neglected state. read more

I was traveling alone with 2 small children and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. When I needed a 2nd room for my 2nd night they gave me a discounted rate (although they couldn't match the extremely discounted rate that I got on priceline.) The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for anything more. It was a very good experience.

Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Room all round were comfortable.
TV picture quality was poor and there were no smoking rooms.
After reading the reviews of this hotel on Priceline. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were untrue in my eyes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially evening and night security staff. Talked to them a lot while I was outside having a smoke. I stayed on the 7th floor all was quiet. It was nice.

Close to the I40 freeway.
Location felt unsafe. Surrounded by run-down buildings.

I thought the hotels renovation made it look like a 4 star hotel, lovely
The neighborhood that this hotel is in is not safe.....would not venture outside parking lot
I stayed at this hotel in Jan. 2009 with my son as we were driving across country to Georgia from California. I was very impressed with the inside (it was dark when we arrived). Could not believe it was a Holiday Inn. We've stayed at many Holiday Inns but this was tops. Granite counter tops in Lobby and a very nice bar and restaurant. The room was beautiful and also very impressed. Different pillows to choose from depending on firmness. Very comfortable beds and very quiet rooms. We had a wonderful nights sleep before getting on the road and finishing our journey. Loved it and definitely would recommend it. Great priceline price also!! read more

It was located just off of the interstate we were traveling, located next to gas and food store to reload before resuming trip.
Food was overpriced (two sandwiches for $32.) and quality of food was poor.
Neat, clean and
handy location. Would stay again when passing through Birmingham.
