Nice view.
Old non HDTV.

Conveniently located near South Station bus station and the TD Bank Garden, helpful staff, nice bed, comfy pillows, nice view of Back Bay bathroom a little small, nice shower though how in 2009 do you have a Zenith non LCD non HDTV join the 21st century.

The staff was friendly.
The room was musty smelling and the furniture is old and very beat up. Black crumb looking things in the bottom of the tub.

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the facility itself is outdated. The furniture was all scratched up and the room was dingy. There was a substance that looked ugly all over the bottom of the bath tub. This hotel is in need of updating. I have not stayed in a Holiday Inn before and after this experience will not again!

The low rating has to do with poor front desk staff.

Clean.
Bathroom door did not open (poor hotel design).

If you need to be near Mass General or Government Center this is fine - but it is not in the Financial District (which is how it was categorized).

The beds were super comfy.
There was a fee for microwave and refrigerator.

Location was great. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was helpful. I didn't like that there was a fee for use of a microwave and refrigerator. Also there was no safety in the room.
