It was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
It was a distance from the parking garage to the lobby where I had to take a elevator to my room.

We just stayed for the night and left early the next morning. But I was pleased with the accommodations. And it was fairly close to the highway. Our room was clean. It would have been nice to have a microwave or a small fridge. Overall I was very satisfied for the price.

Easy to get to.
Some rooms need renovation. First time we stayed we had a very nice room, second time the room was older, not renovated.

This was not what I would classify as a 3 star hotel. I have also stayed at the embassy and Hyatt and Marriott in Charleston, wv and they were all much nicer than this holiday inn. Needs to be a 2 or 2.5 star. The quality of the mattress, pillows & bedding were not as good. The furniture was banged and dinged (both rooms 2nd one worse) and the chair had a stain on the seat. And the TV was unplugged for some strange reason! read more

Got a decent price on priceline, conveniently located.
Staff was incredibly slow and not knowledgeable

started off with 25 minutes to check in - and that was with no wait in line!! Incredibly slow staff. Then we were given a key to a dirty room that was already occupied. It took another 35 minutes to get our room along with 4 failed tries at getting into other rooms... the staff had no clue which rooms were clean or occupied it seems - and this at 8 p.m. !!!

Front desk staff is extremely friendly as is the wait staff in the dining room.
Lack of children's programming.

This hotel has an excellent river view and is conveniently located downtown. It is obvious that the housekeepers do a thorough job of keeping the rooms clean. The windows seem to be in ill repair and are kind of scary when up that high with a three year old. The front desk manager was friendly and courteous and made an effort to make sure that my daughter and I were enjoying our stay. read more

Bedsheets were fine.
Slow moving water in bathtub, dead light bulbs, smell of smoke in elevators.

This is OK as a 2 star but not a 3. Did not feel safe in the area. Not well lit outside. Undesirables hanging around the side of streets. No microwave, mini fridge, and ice maker on floor working. Slow moving water in bathtub. This is not a smoke free hotel and you can smell it in the elevators. I was expecting Marriot at this level but got stuck with Holiday Inn.
