Staff was a little overwhelmed upon check-in but in their defense I think everyone showed up at the same time.

The location was perfect, just off highway.
The hotel smelled and needs to be upgraded. The bathrooms are very out dated.
When I arrived at the hotel on Oct 23rd they were in the middle of a Great Dane Convention. The hotel was completely sold out. Parking was ridiculous because part of the parking lot was rented to RV's. If you have a sold out hotel and part of your parking is rented to RV's where are your hotel guest suppose to park? The hotel smelled like a kennel, Dog slobber on the doors, elevator doors. Dogs were everywhere. I am a dog own but to have that many dogs in one facility without constant cleaning was not acceptable. The hotel is very old and needs to be upgraded. read more

Awesome value for traveling families.
Rooms are dated, smell slightly and could use a scrub
Great location in Chattanooga next to the free downtown shuttle. The indoor pool was nice to have and the public spaces are great for young families to let the children run around. The staff was friendly and responsive. The food was slightly overpriced for what was served. Overall a very good value for the money.

Historic public areas were nice.
Nice unless you looked too close.
This hotel would be a great place to bring the family, or train lover. If you can, stay in one of the remodeled train car rooms. The rooms in the rest of the hotel are your typical holiday inn.

The charm of the lobby and the old train cars parked around.
Stains and
bad smell overwhelmed my senses as I walked into my building.
I have always heard of this hotel and was curious about it. Entering the lobby, I felt as if I hit pay dirt since it looked grand. That all changed when I walked into my hotel building, smelled badly, and it looked like it had not been renovated or at least cleaned in thirty years.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the place was just neat and fun.
The bed felt like I was sleeping on plywood.
I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend friends and family to go there and would stay there again!
