Recreation area.

Hotel is made for family stay; not good for couples or business travelers. Pool facilities are great, but they are crowded with people; an absolute madhouse.

The bed was very comfortable.
The front desk should inform you that you need a bracelet for the pool!

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. However, the little things like: horrible water pressure in the bathroom and the rudeness of certain staff members when you are a guest and they tell you with a certain tone of voice that you need to have a bracelet in order to be in the pool (the front desk should automatically give you those bracelets upon check in) made the experience not so great. Overall, I would stay here again, if the hotel fixes the problems I mentioned above. read more

Horrible parking lot, no restroom ventilations, elevators poor conditions.

We will never stay in this hotel again!

Great spot near the beach, with a great view, I'll probably be heading down again on spring break.

Very nice, clean and attractive rooms in Spanish colonial style.
Could hear the train.

The hotel rooms were really clean and styled in Spanish colonial style which I found very refreshing and different. The location was fine, just a couple hundred yards to the start of the Riverwalk. You had to walk under a highway underpass to get to the Riverwalk which could make some people or families nervous. The trolley bus stopped at the hotel, so that was good. Excellent, free parking which save me $25 per day compared to other hotels. The only negative is the train, which can keep a light sleeper awake. I took ear plugs with me and that worked. read more

The location was great. The beach was right out the back door with a well maintained deck.
Outdated and not so clean common areas.

Nice place to stay for the weekend if you're planning on spending most of your time on the beach. The facilities/common areas were outdated and in great need of repair and replacing. The carpet throughout the hotel was dirty and damp. The halls were hot and humid and I didn't appreciate having to fill out and sign paperwork in order to use 2 towels at the pool. But the room was clean, it had a nice shower and new mattresses. The best part of the hotel is the location and the large wooden deck on the back overlooking the water. read more

Nice clean beach directly behind hotel. Easy to get to and exit and close to city activities.
Room AC was very noisy and hall AC unit was dripping water down wall, made me concerned with mold or worse.

Typical hotel with Hoilidome. Great access to beach. Beach was cleaned before the beginning of each day. There is a charge for chairs and umbrellas plus for kids to jump on the floating trampoline. But not too expensive.
