Parking lot stays empty
and its free.
Elevator(only one) old, slow, and rickety.

Near Crabtree mall. I stayed here 3 times
prior and its clean, safe
and secure but don't expect a WOW factor. Hotel stays empty so push front desk for a upgrade(higher-up room).

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The surroundings were kept clean, and there was a comfortable atmosphere even traveling with little ones.
I though the hotel would have continental breakfast, and it did not.

Overall it was a pleasant, comfortable stay. I was traveling with young children and they really met my goal for this trip, COMFORT!The staff was kind and friendly to my child and very warm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location, friendly staff and clean room.
Tub didn't drain. No newspaper to our room, but saw them under all other doors.

Check-in was easy. The staff was pleasant and professional. The room was clean. The ice machine and soda machine on my floor were broken, but other floors worked, and for some reason our room seemed to be the only one on the floor that didn't receive a newspaper. Overall, a positive experience.

The hotel staff was friendly and nice and the hotel is close to the mall and restaurants in the area. That was the best part.
The hotel needs to be updated. The hallways had a stench as soon as you stepped off the elevator. Lobby was nice, rooms are not.

I personally would not prefer to stay at this hotel again. The lobby area was nice and looks modern but as soon as you step onto the elevator the whole atmosphere changes. Stepping off the elevator there was a stench in the hallway. The rooms need updating but they seemed clean. The bathroom had hairs from a previous guest in the shower. For the price I guess it was fine. Only thing going for it is location. read more

The staff was so friendly. The lobby area was very nice & the bed was comfortable.
The carpet in our room must have been filthy (even if it didn't show it). The bottom of our socks turned black from the carpet!

I was mostly impressed with the friendliness and helpful attitude of the front desk staff. Check in/out was a breeze. The lobby was very nice and our room was very nice as well (we were on the 8th floor). I wouldn't consider this a 3 star hotel. The location of the hotel was close to plenty of shopping, restaurants and downtown, but it didn't feel completely safe with people cutting through the parking lot. read more

Staff was very friendly, as always.
The bath part of the shower was kind of broken, made it extra slippery.

Safe, convenient, spacious, clean, friendly staff. I get the same hotel and by now I can say that holiday inn on Highwood's blvd has been very consistent with their services.

The staff was very well presented, nice uniforms.
Old, dated, musty smell in spots, too much air freshener in others.

This hotel is a decent hotel. It is old we stayed in a "renovated" room and you could not tell it. The bathrooms are small and dated the rooms are large, but the furniture is not comfortable. The sheets are way too small for the bed and they kept pulling off in the middle of the night. The rooms were kind of musty smelling but the hallways were just bombarded with air freshener our family coughed and eyes watered every time we got off the elevator. The location of the hotel is good with close proximity to quite a few parks and a large mall. Definitely felt like I got ripped off by paying for a 3 star hotel when it was definitely not. The whole hotel reeked of air freshener if I had paid for a 2 star like this one should have been rated I would have been disappointed but would have thought "you get what you pay for." But I paid much too much for this hotel simply because of the star rating. read more

Front desk staff is outstanding. Excellent service!
Musty smell when I walked in the room.

Beautiful lobby. Friendly staff. Musty smell when I walked into the room. Housekeeping took care of this right away with a spray. Killed the odor, but not the cause. Great location. Would stay here again without hesitation.

The location was very convenient.
There were no amenities, only one elevator, ice machines on different floors.

The hotel was a disappointment. There were no amenities, only one elevator and the ice machine on our floor was out of service. We had to travel two floors to track down another ice machine. Pillows were all the size of a throw pillow. Bed was comfortable though.

Location.
Was older and not as clean.

I had not had problems in the past but this was not a business travel.
