Close to quaint, historic section of Cumberland.
Dirty! Staff overworked.

This hotel is in need of care. There simply did not seem to be enough people to get more than the very basics taken care of. Room was dusty, dirty, and mildew. Vending machines were not functional. General lack of care of what could be a very nice hotel. Not up to Holiday Inn standards.

The location of the hotel was convenient.
Access to the main parking lot was limited.

The staff was friendly and helpful and appeared well trained. The hotel itself seemed outdated and in need of updating. The price for the overnight was too high for the quality of the hotel.

It is in my home town.
no parking, elevators not working (room on 6th floor), emergency evacuation in middle of night no reason given

could not handle nor did attempt to handle all the problems in just two days, manager has still not returned my phone calls, desk clerks were very nice, but unable to handle any issues, they were not even sure about how to conduct the evacuation

Close to interstate; easy to get to.
Parking area not convenient. Couldn't locate snack machines.

It was nice, but only there for a funeral in Cumberland.
Didn't like being right down town.

The hotel staff was nice and it would have been ok, but just didn't like being right in the middle of the city. It was convenient for us though, as the funeral home was close by. Thanks for the good price.

Location was great and views of city from 6th floor were terrific.
The parking lot was not fenced--scary for a downtown location.

The holiday inn in downtown Cumberland, MD, is a well kept, clean, quiet, and sophisticated hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay.
