Holiday Inn Des Moines-Airport/Conf Center

The Des Moines Airport Holiday Inn was a great place to stay and the staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and easy to locate.

The hotel is a good example of a moderately priced hotel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The swimming pool however is not designed for swimming, it was very small and obviously meant for socializing, not exercising.

Would recommend this hotel. Really no complaints, other than the indoor pool being too cold.

Obviously a large, older hotel that has been well-kept and offers comfortable accommodations at reasonable prices.

Overall experience was good. Couldn't find any good places to eat in the area.

The non-reduced rate for this room was dis proportionally high considering there were no, included amenities (such as breakfast), included. There were lower star options available just down the street that offered many other amenities for less than the property that we were assigned. Our room was very clean, however, and the beds were comfortable. Since this was a non-smoking property, people converged outside just below our window. We woke up to the smell of cigarette smoke. Parking was ample, but not adequately lit. The atrium area by the pool was not attractive and seemed like wasted space that could offer more family-friendly activities rather than house tables and chairs on artificial turf. read more

The hotel was clean and convenient. Nice amenities which is typical of a Holiday Inn. The room was clean, but had a stale air smell and the bed was worn out and sloping to the center. Friendly and helpful staff.

There is a nice pool inside the hotel with a snack bar. Unfortunately we arrived just before the pool closed. It looked like a great place for families with kids.
