Very clean and the staff was friendly and professional.
It's not super close to downtown Ashland, but this was not a big problem.

The pool was clean and hardly ever had anyone using it.
Hotel smelled like cigarette smoke from the moment you walked through the door.
The hotel was alright. It smelled of cigarette smoke, even in the non-smoking areas. The room was clean. The continental breakfast was great, with lots of choices, even for younger kids.

Patient & accommodating weekend front desk attendant.
Breakfast food quality was less than 2.5 stars.
H.I.E.-Ashland was a positive experience. The weekend front desk attendant was friendly and patient with driving directions. She was very intuitive and accommodating in arranging a room which was sheltered from outside noise for my tired wife and 2-year old. Likely due to its newness, we found most everything was clean and well kept. There was wet section of hallway and elevator, kids going to and from the pool. The only downside is the quality of the breakfast food. It was well stocked but we couldn't figure out what the scrambled eggs were made from. However, it was on par with other inns. I would recommend this hotel as a convenient and satisfying respite from any long haul off I-5. read more

We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was fantastic!
We stayed here with our 3 young children. We had a fantastic time in the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was wonderful with eggs and bacon, sausage and bisquits, cereal, yogurt, toast, and more. We had a great time!

Comfy beds; choice of pillow softness; cleanliness; free breakfast.
Night clerk kept reading his paper minutes after I stood at desk.
Convenient; accommodating (when I requested for a 2-bed room); comfy beds & pillows; luxurious towels; great bath amenities. It would help if the reservations clerk kept the supply of breakfast items and napkins stocked.

It was convenient off the freeway exit, and met the basic need.
Nothing really, it was just an average hotel - nothing stands out either good or bad.
If you're just passing through the area this hotel will meet your needs, but there's nothing special about it. I actually wished I had known about the best western next door. It looked lovely and was themed to more or less match the Shakespearean feel of the festival Ashland is so famous for.

The breakfast buffet was very good.
The access is difficult and could be dangerous.
It is a brand new hotel so it is not appropriate to talk about the upkeep. The pool is nice and the rooms are adequate. My only complaint is the immediate access and departure routes. Especially, when leaving. I think there should be a traffic light there.
