Location was quiet yet near some great shopping.
Seemed to have limited parking of it's own.
Quiet location, near a walking trail with bikes to use and within walking distance of a theater. Would be excellent for family travel.

Very efficient and friendly food server for their complimentary breakfast.
Was given a room for the disabled and very smoky.
Not happy at all with the front desk clerk, mark. First, he told us we did not have reservations until I gave him the confirmation number, he still insisted he did not have a reservation. I persisted and eventually he found the number and apologized (even though we made the reservations two months in advance). Then, he gave us a room for the disabled with no shower stall, room smelled very smoky of cigarettes. He said we could leave and he would spray the room that it was from the neighbors even though it is supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel (9:30 at night). We will never go to that hotel again. (And we will be going to Lawrence often since our daughters go to the university of Kansas). Next time we will stay in a bed and breakfast inn. read more

The staff was friendly and the room was clean.
The beds were uncomfortable and the noise level was terrible.
I expected to be able to get a good night sleep but the bed was like sleeping on bare springs, the pillows were bad, and the noise from people (including cleaning staff in the a.m.) Kept us from getting a good nights sleep.

The hotel was clean and in a good location.
The beds were very hard.
Overall this hotel was pretty good. The location was great to shopping and not far from KU. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The only real problem was that the beds were hard, and we found it hard to sleep.
