The HI Express was a great room for our stay. It had a very good air conditioner and a nice bathroom and shower.

Clean white bedding! Comfortable beds!
Refrigerator ticked so loudly we had to unplug it at night to sleep.

Now that we know how to find it tucked away right off the highway (we drove by it twice), we'd stay there again. It is nice to be on the outskirts of San Antonio and close access to the interstate.

The hot breakfast was convenient and delicious, better than other expensive hotels.
Getting to the hotel was a little difficult because of the San Antonio highway system.

Plenty of bang for my buck. The pool was the usual size, good for a quick tip and lounging.

Free express breakfast. Easy access to I-10. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Quiet area.
Silverfish on ceiling. Ants on towels. Ticking sound of refrigerator. Not too friendly welcome from hotel clerk.

This was a decent hotel. The room was fine. The only problem was that the fridge in the room kept making this ticking sound. We also had to deal with a couple of silverfish and a few ants, but we didn't let it bother us. For the most part, the room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job of cleaning it every day. The free breakfast was also decent. Options included, cinnamon rolls, bagels, toast, French toast, eggs, sausage, biscuit, variety of cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee. read more

The breakfast was very good, lots of selection. Very close to local attractions and resturaunt selections.
Cleaning staff did not change sheets daily and parts of room were left very dirty.

Overall, nice hotel for the price. Beds are comfortable and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is in a great area for families loking to attend Fiesta Texas or Sea World and is within close proximity to several family friendly restaurants.

I liked it and will stay again. We would have preferred a hot tub for relaxation. The staff was helpful and friendly.
