The safety latch on our room door was broken. The free breakfast was suppose to offer several hot entree items, but only offered one. The pool was out of service. There were cobwebs in the stair ways. The ice machine on the first floor was broken, with no sign posted to notify that it's broken. Staff was friendly and the hotel is conveniently located next to the highway and 30 seconds from as Wal-Mart. read more

Issues with billing, a dirty towel on the rack when we arrived.

It was okay - clean except for the dirty towel I found when we got there. They immediately apologized and said they were sorry. They had maybe rushed to finish the room so we could get in early, but not sure if that was the case. We had to ask for soap - none there at sink or shower.

It was close to local dining. It also was updated.
Smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor.

This was a pleasant stay with the luxury of being updated. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful.

Wireless Internet access was difficult to access.

There were only 2 problems I had with the hotel, but both were major for me. First of all, They did have free wireless Internet service, but it was only available in the lobby or in room via a cable. I couldn't get the cable to work (and spent a lot of time trying with different cables provided to me by the front desk) so I had to go to the lobby. I had to change locations several times in the lobby before I was able to get it to work. I did not like working in the lobby. The second problem was that I had to remove a cockroach that I found marching across my bed sheet. Alamo refused to give me my Rapid Rewards credit with Southwest Airlines Since I am struggling to qualify for my Southwest Airlines Companion Pass, every point is valuable to me. read more

Warm, friendly employees.

The employees were so kind, warm and friendly. They were light hearted and open to joking and that to us means an awful lot. Being able to cut up and laugh.
