The rooms were convenient and pleasant.
The corridors were barren; the hotel looked uninhabited.

For the price, a decent place to spend a night, do e-mail, drink coffee, and move on down the road. Relatively new, pleasant decor, decent bathrooms, inadequate dining room (in my judgment) for the Spring season (too cold), good parking garage (though dirty), friendly front desk staff (nicely dressed and ready to smile).

The hotel had a really nice breakfast with eggs, sausages, and croissant.
The rustic yellow paint of the building.

The hotel is really easy to get to from the 405. It's right off the exit. There's plenty of room for parking. The receptionist was really nice. The room was very nice as well. There's everything you need, even wireless internet. There's no microwave though. The walls are thick, you can't hear anything. The breakfast was great! Had eggs, sausages, croissant, bagels, cereal, variety of juices, coffee, milk, pastries, and so on. This hotel was good for me because I had to go to UCLA the next morning for an interview. It was only like a mile or two away. read more

Housekeepers forgot a different item each day-laundry bags; soap, etc.

Was being upgraded from motel of another chain to Holiday Inn Express with hotel services during my stay. Staff friendly and generally helpful. Housekeeping staff missed one or two items each day but room was basically clean and comfortable. Not enough storage space for my extra luggage. The same day laundry service worked well-no items lost or damaged. I ordered dinner delivered from restaurant "Luigi" on the list provided by hotel two times. Food was acceptable, cost OK and delivery timely. I had no computer with me, there was no computer in the lobby for guest use like some hotels have. A pleasant stay, more services and facilities than I expected. read more
