Description of Holiday Inn Express Winchester
The Holiday Inn Express Winchester is located in the Bluegrass Region of the Commonwealth, in a great position for everything the Greater Lexington Area has to offer. We are minutes from Bluegrass Airport, University of Kentucky, Keeneland Race Track, Kentucky Horse Park, Deer Run Stables, Lexmark International, Toyota, Shaker Village, and the Bluegrass Heritage Museum. Our hotel is a 58 room facility located off I-64. Restaurants are located within one mile of the hotel. Our hotel has 58 rooms, interior corridor with elevator. Indoor heated pool, fitness center, complimentary hot breakfast buffet., As of Monday, Feb 23, 2009 the hotel will no longer have any smoking rooms available. Clean, convenient.
Very disappointed with manager - not very accommodating to our needs.

Facilities are clean and location is convenient. Management was not very accommodating. We had to check out, remove all of our belongings and then check back in later in the day even though we extended our reservation another night and the hotel was aware. Manager was included in discussion of this problem and she was far less helpful than the staff tried to be. Would not stay there again for that reason alone. read more

The staff was friendly and the breakfast bar was very good.
It was a non smoking facility and you could tell people were being allowed to smoke.

The hotel was good and clean.

The beds were excellent. The new breakfast bar is unbelievably good! The pool was very nice and the exercise options are good.
One side of the lot is unattractive.

Easy to find off the interstate. WiFi, nice beds, pool and the breakfast make for a great stay.

The swimming pool was clean, a comfortable temp. and open late.
There was nothing I did not like about this hotel.

The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The room, linens, bathroom were very clean and attractive. The pool was clean, a comfortable temperature, and open late enough for me to have a very relaxing swim when I arrived. The continental breakfast was very good, also.

The stay was not worth the price.
Continental breakfast was suppose to be until 9:30, at 9:00 it was bare. The attendant did not offer to replenish anything and seemed very unfriendly.

This Holiday Inn Express does not meet the standards of other hotels with this title. When we first stepped into the hotel we were almost knocked over with cigarette smell, apparently the smoking floor is on the bottom. I was really looking forward to the continental breakfast, but was very disappointed.

Very comfortable bed.

A little hard to find when coming off of 64. Thye had neglected to turn on the lights on the sign, which added to the confusion.
